All About UsNine wooded acres, and room to breathe
The Big Dog House is an upscale pet boarding facility on nine beautifully wooded country acres, three miles north of the intersection of Highway 380 and Highway 377 in Aubrey, Texas.
Our management lives on the property, and every pet gets a final potty break between 9:00 and 11:00pm before lights out.

Meet Lorrie
Our owner, Lorrie Buckingham, has been an animal lover all her life. Originally from Illinois, she moved to Texas in 1994 with one aspiration: a professional, state-of-the-art pet boarding facility for dogs and cats.
In 2003 she found the perfect location in Aubrey, and construction on The Big Dog House began. It took six months to clear the property and build the first boarding facility. She hired her staff, recruited her mother from Illinois, and opened the doors.
A few short years later the facility reached capacity, and Lorrie opened a second state-of-the-art boarding facility to handle a growing list of happy boarders.
